What do you find most fascinating / challenging about the water industry?
The water industry is uniquely compelling, as every water source has its own distinct characteristics and every household has specific needs and requirements. This allows us to tailor treatment solutions that address individual contaminants while providing safe, reliable water at an affordable cost. We view our work not simply as selling equipment, but as building long-term relationships with families, supporting them over the years with trusted guidance, ongoing service, and solutions for all their water treatment needs.

What is your hobby and why?
We have been fortunate to build this company while working alongside my wife, Bethany, during our first year and a half in business. Outside of work, our primary focus is spending quality time with our family whenever possible. While it is easy to become immersed in the demands of daily life and growing a business, we believe it is essential to be intentional about making time for family, and we strive to do so whenever we can.

Have you had a mentor in the industry and what valuable lesson / catch phrase has that person passed to you?
My father-in-law, Lance Orton, has been an invaluable mentor throughout my career in the water industry. Over the past 30 years, I have worked with him on and off, gaining extensive knowledge in equipment selection, water testing, system installation, and customer service. He has always been readily available for guidance, whether through a phone call or to answer questions.

One principle he consistently emphasized was, “Trust, but verify.” This philosophy taught me to listen carefully to the customer while confirming findings through accurate troubleshooting—starting, as we all know, with a proper water test. While this may seem simple, it has been fundamental to our approach and has played a significant role in the successful launch and growth of our company in Texas.

Who would you like to have a drink with and chat? This person can be from history or current day.
There are many historical figures throughout time with whom a conversation would be both fascinating and insightful, making it difficult to choose just one. As a veteran, I would value the opportunity to speak with Chesty Puller, one of the most decorated Marines in history. From a political perspective, engaging in discussion with leaders such as George Washington or Sam Houston would be equally compelling. From a spiritual standpoint, the opportunity to speak with our Lord and Savior would be profoundly meaningful. Any of these conversations would be extraordinary and would undoubtedly provide lasting insight and wisdom.
